Electronic Dance Music

The Netherlands has brought forth some of the world’s biggest names in commercial house, trance, and techno during the past 25 years. Dance music is today one of the main cultural exports of the Netherlands and has grown into a multi-million-euro industry.

We are famous for our electronic dance music scene. Martin Garrix, Armin van Buren, Don Diablo, Afrojack and Oliver Heldens all represented in the top 10 of the DJMAG top 100.

Did you also know that there are no women in the top 10? it’s still a male-dominated scene. Lady B and Jennifer Cooke are on the way to the top and talk in our online magazine about that journey and ideas for the next generation of female representatives in the electronic dance music industry.

Lady Bee

As one of Amsterdam’s favorite homegrown artists, Lady Bee has more than earned her status as leading lady of the global bass house scene. With boss ass tracks like ‘Mess’, ‘Roll It’ and her fresh Trippin EP, Bee is ready to conquer clubs and festivals both national as international where she has had a constant presence in the touring circuit for over a decade, rocking stages at e.g. Mysteryland, Amsterdam Open Air, Parookaville, and Valhalla.

Receiving great support from David Guetta, Diplo, Don Diablo, and Oliver Heldens and adding collaborations together with industry heavyweights such as Hardwell, Laidback Luke and Timmy Trumpet on her track record, it is safe to say that Lady Bee has built up an extended foundation within the industry. Renowned for her positive energy behind the decks, her phenomenal presence on stage and her ability to read crowds of any size, Lady Bee is ready to blow up the speakers at any stage!
